The Company complements its underwriting activities with a non-traditional investment approach designed to achieve higher rates of return over the long term than reinsurance companies that exclusively employ more traditional investment strategies. In 2018, the Company launched its Greenlight Re Innovations unit, which supports technology innovators in the (re)insurance space by providing investment, risk capacity, and access to a broad insurance network.
OUR TEAM
Daniel Roitman
Daniel Roitman has been a director of our Board since July 2023, and brings decades of financial services and senior leadership experience. Mr. Roitman previously served as an alternate director of our Board for numerous years and continues to serve as a current director of Greenlight’s Irish subsidiary, Greenlight Reinsurance Ireland, dac. Mr. Roitman has served as Chief Operating Officer and partner of Greenlight Capital, Inc. since January 2003 and DME Advisors, LP, our investment advisor, since its formation. From 1996 through 2002, Mr. Roitman served as a vice president at Goldman Sachs. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Roitman was employed as a member of the New York technology practice at Anderson Consulting, now Accenture. Mr. Roitman earned a B.S. with distinction in electrical engineering from Cornell University in 1991 and a Master of Engineering in 1992. Mr. Roitman graduated with distinction from the New York University Stern School of Business in 2002, earning an MBA in Finance.
Joe Platt
Mr. Platt is an active investor as the general partner at Thorn Partners, LP, a family limited partnership since 1997. Mr. Platt’s career at Johnson and Higgins, or J&H, a global insurance broker and employee benefits consultant, spanned 27 years until the sale of J&H to Marsh & McLennan Companies in March 1997. At the time of the sale of J&H, Mr. Platt was an owner, director, and executive vice president responsible for North America and marketing and sales worldwide. Mr. Platt was head of the operating committee and a member of the executive committee at J&H. Mr. Platt serves as a Trustee of the BlackRock Multi Asset Board (MAB) Funds. He also serves as a Director of CONSOL Energy Inc. (NYSE: CEIX), a NYSE listed coal company. From 2004 to May 2021, he served on the Board of the Company. Mr. Platt is a member of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Platt received his B.A. from Manhattan College in 1968 and his J.D. from Fordham University Law School in 1971. Mr. Platt also attended Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program in 1983.
Greg Richardson
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Richardson has served as CEO and a director since January 1, 2024, and became a director of Greenlight Re in March 2024 following regulatory approval; previously, he was Chief Risk and Strategy Officer at TransRe from 2014 to 2023, and before that held strategic planning and underwriting roles, including Chief Underwriting Officer at Harbour Point Re (which merged with Max Re Capital to form Alterra Re) from 2006 to 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Mathematics from Purdue University, was a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University, and earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago. His deep U.S. and international industry expertise, combined with experience in underwriting and strategic positions as well as strong leadership, make him ideally suited for the CEO role and to contribute valuable insights to the Board in shaping the company’s go-forward strategy.
Pat O’Brien
Chief Executive Officer – Ireland
Mr. O’Brien has served as Chief Executive Officer of GRIL since March 2017, playing an instrumental role in expanding the Company’s European operations and overall strategy, and was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company in 2024, also serving as a director of GRIL since June 2016; previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Insurance from 2011 to 2015, establishing the insurer in the Irish market post-acquisition, and from 2001 through 2011 served as a director and Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe’s commercial and specialty business. He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Tom Curnock
Group Chief Underwriting Officer
Mr. Curnock was appointed Group Chief Underwriting Officer in October 2024 to oversee the underwriting function of the Company, previously serving as Chief Risk Officer managing enterprise risk functions including capital modeling, exposure management, and operational risk, and prior to that worked in risk management and as an underwriter since joining the Company in July 2009; before the Company, he served at Aon as Senior Vice President as an investment banker from 2007 to 2009 and as Senior Vice President as a structured reinsurance broker from 2001 to 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Salford.
Faramarz Romer
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Romer has served as Chief Financial Officer since April 2023, responsible for all aspects of the Company’s finance and reporting function and as a director of GRIL since September 2023; he previously was Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer from September 2020 to March 2023, and Reporting and Compliance Officer from 2007 to 2020, overseeing SEC reporting, periodic and annual financial reporting, internal audit, and SOX 404 processes, prior to which he was a Senior Manager at KPMG. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario—Richard Ivey School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
Richard Strommer
Chief Actuary
Mr. Strommer has served as Chief Actuary since September 2018, and prior to that as Senior Actuary overseeing the Company’s quarterly reserving process since joining in May 2017; before the Company, he held various managerial roles at Ernst & Young from February 2013 to May 2017 on global engagements involving transactions, pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and regulatory reporting primarily in the UK and Australia, earlier working at KPMG and spending five years at Swiss Re focused on commercial and investment-type product design, pricing, and reserving. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London and is a qualified actuary and Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.
David Sigmon
General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary
Mr. Sigmon has served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary since April 2023, and as Chief Risk Officer of Greenlight Re since March 2025; prior to joining the Company, he was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Everest Group, Ltd. from August 2017 to April 2023, serving as senior counsel for corporate law, capital markets, and complex transactions, previously as General Counsel for Unique Risk Underwriting at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. from 2013 to 2017, and earlier as an associate attorney in the New York City office of an international law firm. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University, a Juris Doctor degree with honors (cum laude distinction) from Brooklyn Law School, and an LL.M. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Regan Cairns
Chief Underwriting Officer - Cayman Islands
Regan Cairns joined Greenlight Re in 2018. Prior to joining Greenlight Re, she spent several years focusing on the audit of captive insurance and reinsurance entities, as well as valuation of private equity/debt investments at KPMG in the Cayman Islands. Before that, Regan worked in the U.S. corporate tax practice at Deloitte in Toronto, Canada. Regan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. She holds the CPA and CA designations through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and is a CFA Charterholder.
Barry Griffin
Chief Underwriting Officer - Ireland
Barry joined Greenlight Re as an underwriter in 2018 in the Ireland office with a focus on London Market Specialty markets. Prior to joining, he was a specialty underwriter at Travelers in their Lloyd’s syndicate. After graduating from university, he joined Markel (London) as an underwriter focused on specialty lines of business. Barry has in-depth knowledge of the London (re)insurance market. He holds an Actuarial and Financial studies degree from University College Dublin.
Sharon D’Arcy
Ireland – London Market Specialty
Sharon joined Greenlight Re in 2013 and is a member of the underwriting team in Ireland. She has 14 years of experience in the international and London marketplace. Prior to joining Greenlight Re, she worked for Mitsui Sumitomo Reinsurance Limited in Dublin as a treaty underwriter, where she focused on Greece, Cyprus, Eastern Europe, UK & Ireland. Previous to this she worked for nSpire Re (Fairfax Group) as a Reinsurance Executive. Sharon started her reinsurance career with Catlin in London, as a member of the outwards reinsurance team. She graduated from the University of Limerick with a degree in International Insurance and European Studies. She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Olessya Moretti
Cayman Islands
Olessya was part of the Greenlight Re team from 2016 to 2017 and returned in 2021 as an underwriter in the Cayman office. She has over 10 years of industry experience, working for Chubb, Hannover Re, and Hub International in Toronto, Canada. Olessya holds a Master of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University, as well as the Associate in Reinsurance, Certified Risk Manager, and Chartered Insurance Professional designations.
Brian O’Reilly
Head of Innovations
Mr. O’Reilly has served as Head of Innovations since September 2020, overseeing all aspects of the Innovations strategy and day-to-day operations; he previously held various actuarial roles at the Company since 2013 before joining the Innovations function at its inception in March 2018, and prior to that, worked as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. from 2012 to 2013 and as an Actuarial Analyst at ICW Group from 2008 to 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami with a major in Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Leicester (UK), and is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society as well as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
Kagabo Ngiruwonsanga
Chief Underwriting Officer - Innovations
Kagabo Ngiruwonsanga serves as our Head of Innovations Underwriting, prior to that he was the Head of Pricing and Analytics from 2018 – 2022. He joined Greenlight Re in 2011 as an Actuary in the underwriting team. Kagabo has over 20 years of property and casualty insurance experience and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Prior to joining Greenlight Re, Kagabo was an Actuary at Liberty Mutual Insurance company where he worked on pricing reinsurance treaties as well as personal lines products. Before that, Kagabo worked at Metlife Auto and Home where he was involved in the modelling of the catastrophe book as well as pricing home and auto insurance. Kagabo holds a B.A. in Economics from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Alex Whitney
Principal
Alex joined Greenlight Re Innovations in 2021 as an Associate where he focuses on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and supporting the growth of portfolio companies.
Prior to Greenlight Re, Alex was an investor with ManchesterStory, a venture capital firm specializing in early-to-growth stage insurtech, fintech, and digital health companies. Alex also spent time with DLA Piper where he supported the investment process for the DLA Venture Fund.
Alex graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and has completed the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) certification. He is currently based in the Cayman Islands.
Elliot Vernon
Principal
Elliot joined Greenlight Re Innovations in 2019, shortly after the unit was launched. Elliot has led many of the investments in the portfolio and manages investments throughout their lifecycle. With a background in Engineering, Elliot has a passion for solving complex problems through venture building and advisory.
Elliot holds an Electronic Engineering degree from Durham University. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and has completed the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) certification.
Victoria Guest
Victoria Guest has been a director of our Board since August 2021. Ms. Guest currently serves on the board of directors of the Bessemer Group, Incorporated and its principal subsidiary banks, and the board of managers of Bessemer Securities LLC and its principal subsidiary. Previously, Ms. Guest was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Hamilton Insurance Group, a Bermuda-based holding company for insurance and reinsurance operations, from December 2013 until retirement in November 2017. Ms. Guest has also served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of SAC Re Holdings, Ltd, a Bermuda-based reinsurer, as well as Ariel Holdings and RAM Holdings. Ms. Guest has a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University.
Ursuline Foley
Ursuline Foley has been a director of our Board since August 2021. Ms. Foley currently serves on the board of directors of Provident Financial Services, Inc. and Provident Bank (NYSE: PFS) and is a member of the Risk and Technology committees. Ms. Foley also serves as a director of DOCOsoft Ltd., a software company providing claims management, document management and workflow software solutions for the global insurance and financial services markets. Previously, Ms. Foley served as Chief Corporate Operations Officer and Managing Director of XL Group PLC, a global provider of commercial insurance and reinsurance, which became AXA XL in September 2018. Ms. Foley has also held several senior management roles, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Data Officer, Enterprise Enablement Strategy for XL Group PLC and Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer of Reinsurance and Financial Lines for XL Reinsurance. Ms. Foley holds both a Bachelor of Science and Teaching Diploma from University College Cork, Ireland, a Master of Science from PACE University and a Technology Leadership certificate from Babson University. Ms. Foley has also received certificates from NYC College of Insurance and the College of Finance, NYC.
Johnny Ferrari
John Ferrari has been a director of our Board since August 2021. Mr. Ferrari is currently a consultant to companies in the financial services industry after having retired from KPMG International (“KPMG”) in June 2021. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Ferrari specialized in providing audit services to companies in the banking, insurance and asset management industries. Mr. Ferrari held multiple roles for KPMG and its member firms, including serving as a member of the Global Monitoring Group for KPMG International, Chief Operating Officer for Audit Quality for KPMG EMA Region and as an Audit Partner for KPMG Cayman Islands, including serving as Partner in Charge of Risk Management. Mr. Ferrari also served as a member of KPMG’s Executive Management Committee and participated on the Audit Quality Professional Practice Steering Committee. Mr. Ferrari holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants.
Simon Burton
Simon Burton joined Greenlight Re as Chief Executive Officer in July 2017. Prior to joining, he was the founding Chief Executive Officer of SAC Re until its sale to Hamilton Insurance Group. Simon’s other executive roles include Deputy Chief Executive at Lancashire Group and Chief Executive Officer of Lancashire’s Bermuda subsidiary. He also spent 10 years at ACE Limited in a variety of roles, including leading an underwriting division as President of Financial Solutions International. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Imperial College, London University.
Len Goldberg
Len Goldberg has been a director of our Board since August 2005. Mr. Goldberg also has served as a director of Greenlight Re since 2005. Mr. Goldberg previously served as a director of GRIL from 2010 to 2014. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of our Company from August 2005 through August 14, 2011. Mr. Goldberg has more than 20 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. He worked with the Alea Group, a reinsurance company, from August 2000 to August 2004, including serving as chief executive officer of Alea North America Insurance Company and Alea North America Specialty Insurance Company from March 2002 to August 2004, where he was responsible for the insurance and reinsurance strategy for the North America region. Prior to working with the Alea Group, Mr. Goldberg served as Chief Actuary and Senior Vice President – Financial Products of Custom Risk Solutions, a managing general agency company, from April 1999 to August 2000. From May 1995 to December 1998, Mr. Goldberg provided various actuarial services to Zurich Group, a reinsurance company, including acting as Chief Actuary of Zurich Re London. Mr. Goldberg received his B.A. in Mathematics from Rutgers University in 1984 and Masters in Business Administration, Finance Concentration, from Rutgers Executive MBA program in 1993 and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Steven Archambault
Chief Accounting Officer
Steve joined Greenlight Re in 2023 and has served as Group Chief Accounting Officer since March 2025. Prior to joining Greenlight Re, he held CFO roles with start-up companies in Canada since 2012. During this period, he took two companies public in Canada, including a cross-listing on NASDAQ. From 1997 to 2012, Steve spent his professional career in the P&C industry in Bermuda, including the last six years with AXIS Capital (NYSE: AXS) as Senior VP, Group Financial Reporting from 2009. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (Canada). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree (major in Accounting) from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Craig Robertshaw
Vice President of FP&A
Craig Robertshaw joined Greenlight Re in June of 2024 to lead Financial Planning & Analysis as well as Capital Management. He has over 20 years of insurance experience, including financial, strategic, and operational leadership roles at CNA, Kemper, AXIS, and USF&G. Craig also brings broader business and financial acumen from his 10-plus years as a financial leader in the USA for market leading consumer brands, including Nike sports and athleticwear, DeWalt power tools and accessories, and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants. Craig holds a BS degree from Purdue University, where he was recognized as a 2-time Academic All-American baseball player, and an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore.
Ian Isaacs
Ian Isaacs has been a director of our Board since May 2008. Since August 2015, Mr. Isaacs has served as Managing Member of Katonah Research LLC, a firm which provides market intelligence to investors. From September 2012 to April 2015, Mr. Isaacs served as a senior partner at Gagnon Securities, a New York-based broker dealer where his duties included providing portfolio analytics and market intelligence to institutional investors. Previously, from April 2008 to July 2012, Mr. Isaacs served as a senior partner at Merlin Securities, a San Francisco-based broker dealer. Mr. Isaacs previously served as a director of our Board from its founding in July 2004 until February 2007. Mr. Isaacs stepped down from the Board in February of 2007, due to his then-current employer’s policy prohibiting its employees from serving on boards of publicly-traded companies. Mr. Isaacs rejoined the Board in May 2008, shortly after joining Merlin Securities. Previously, from July 2000 to March 2008, Mr. Isaacs served as a Senior Vice President, Investments, with UBS Financial Services, a subsidiary of UBS AG, a Zurich-based investment bank. At UBS Financial Services and Merlin Securities, Mr. Isaacs conducted market research for institutional investors, including Greenlight Capital, Inc. Prior to its acquisition by UBS AG in July of 2000, Mr. Isaacs was employed by PaineWebber from May 1990, becoming Senior Vice-President of Investments in 1995. Prior to Paine Webber, Mr. Isaacs was a partner with Hambrecht and Quist, an investment bank based in San Francisco, from 1985 to 1990. Mr. Isaacs received his B.A. from Carleton College in 1977.
Alan Brooks
Alan Brooks has been a director of our Board since July 2004. Mr. Brooks also has served as a director of Greenlight Re since 2004. From February 2001 until his retirement in July 2003, Mr. Brooks was engaged as a consultant by KPMG in the Cayman Islands. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1999, Mr. Brooks served as the non-life insurance practice partner at KPMG in the Cayman Islands. During those years, Mr. Brooks specialized in providing audit and liquidation services to the offshore insurance industry. Mr. Brooks was engaged as the audit partner for over 150 licensed insurance companies in the Cayman Islands, ranging from companies writing property and casualty, life and credit insurance as well as special purpose vehicles formed to insure catastrophe risks. Mr. Brooks has significant experience in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with United States and International generally accepted accounting principles. From August 2003 until June 2011, Mr. Brooks was a shareholder and director of Genesis Trust and Corporate Services Ltd., a Cayman Islands based trust and management company. Since, 2009, Mr. Brooks serves as a director of Investors Trust Assurance SPC, a Cayman based insurance company. Mr. Brooks has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales since 1979. Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Brooks received a Diploma of Education from the North Buckinghamshire College of Education in 1968.
Bryan Murphy
Bryan Murphy has been a director of our Board since May 2008. From 1996 until his retirement in December 2007, Mr. Murphy served as a founding director and chief executive officer of Island Heritage Holdings Ltd., a Cayman Islands based property, liability and automobile insurer. Prior to Island Heritage, Mr. Murphy acted as a consultant to Trident Partnership from 1994 to 1996 and was employed by International Risk Management Group from 1978 to 1994. Mr. Murphy has over 30 years experience in the insurance business and has held senior positions in several countries, including the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. Until December 2007, Mr. Murphy served on the board of directors of AZ Reinsurance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Astra-Zeneca PLC and a captive insurer of the group’s property and liability insurance business. In addition, until December 2008, Mr. Murphy served on the board of directors of ICHEM Reinsurance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICI PLC and a captive insurer for the group’s property and liability insurance business. In 2014, Mr. Murphy joined the board of directors of Bahamas First General Insurance Co., a company that provides general insurance coverage in the Bahamas. Also in 2014, Mr. Murphy joined the board of directors of Colliers Bay Insurance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Schlumberger Limited and a captive insurer based in the Cayman Islands. Mr. Murphy holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from University College, Dublin, Ireland.
David Einhorn
David Einhorn has been a director of our Board since July 2004 and Chairman of our Board since August 6, 2004. Mr. Einhorn co-founded, and has served as the President of, Greenlight Capital, Inc., since January 1996. Mr. Einhorn serves as President of DME Advisors, LP, or DME Advisors, our investment advisor. Greenlight Capital, Inc. and DME Advisors are affiliates of the Company. Since April 2006, Mr. Einhorn has served as a director of Green Brick Partners, Inc, (Nasdaq: GRBK), formerly named BioFuel Energy Corp. Mr. Einhorn graduated summa cum laude with distinction from Cornell University in 1991 where he earned a B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Ruaidhri Doolan
Reinsurance Underwriter - Ireland
Ruaidhri joined Greenlight Re as an underwriter in 2022. He is based in the Ireland office and has a focus on London Market Specialty markets. Ruaidhri is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, and prior to joining Greenlight Re worked in various actuarial roles in the (re)insurance industry. Ruaidhri graduated with a Bachelor in Actuarial and Financial Studies from University College Dublin.
Shannon-Lee Pires-Caires
Reinsurance Underwriter - Cayman Islands
Shannon-Lee joined Greenlight Re in September 2023 with 7 years of experience in P&C reinsurance. Previously Shannon-Lee worked as a Treaty P&C Underwriter at UnipolRe DAC covering European business and before that she worked as a Facultative Underwriter at Munich Re covering business in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. Shannon-Lee graduated with an Honors degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the University of the Witwatersrand and has a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Tom Hemmings
Innovation Underwriter
Tom joined Greenlight Re in 2024 and is based in Grand Cayman. Prior to Greenlight Re, Tom’s (re)insurance career started at Aspen on the graduate scheme in London before progressing to Underwriter in the UK Casualty team. He moved across to reinsurance with Arch Re in 2021 as an Underwriter in their Casualty Treaty team, writing across all casualty lines of business for cedants based in the US and Internationally.
Tom has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurer.
Samuel Clifton
Principal
Sam is a Principal within the Innovations team and is based in London. He focuses on investing and supporting insurtech startups and emerging MGAs across the UK and Europe, as well as developing relationships with underwriters, investors and other partners in the market.
Prior to Greenlight Re, Sam’s career started at Jaguar Land Rover’s venture capital arm, InMotion Ventures, where he invested in early-stage startups impacting the future of transportation. Since then, Sam has founded and scaled multiple venture backed startups, primarily focused on sales and go-to-market strategy. He was most recently Head of Growth at an insurance pricing platform.
Sam has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick.
Martin Vezina
Head of Underwriting Analytics
Martin Vezina was appointed as Head of Underwriting Analytics of Greenlight Reinsurance, Ltd. in May 2025. In this capacity, Vezina oversees Greenlight Re’s underwriting analytics and pricing function.
Martin has held various senior underwriting positions at Allianz, New Ocean Capital, AQR Re, and Markel (previously Alterra/Harbor Point Re/Chubb Re). Julian Millar
Head of Claims - Syndicate 3456
Julian Millar joined Greenlight Re in December 2024. He has 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Prior to joining the Company, Julian was Head of Claims at Marco Capital as well as Head of Claims Polo Managing Agency, overseeing their reinsurance claims run-off book and assuming responsibility for a number of small Lloyd’s syndicates. Before that, Julian served for several years as Chief Claims Officer & Chief Operating Officer at Amtrust Europe. Prior to that Julian held the position of Head of Specialty Claims and Syndicate Claims for 8 years at Travelers Europe focussing on all facets of international and U.S complex and specialty lines claims including, marine, aviation, P&C, power &energy, transactional liability and particularly financial lines. Prior to Travelers, Julian also held senior Head of claims positions at QBE, Chubb and Hiscox, as well as a role as Managing Director of an independent loss adjusting organization.
Julian is a qualified insurance professional and is a Chartered Insurer of the Charted Insurance Institute, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a Fellow of the British Damage Management Association.

Innovations Underwriter and Analytics Lead
Wang joined Greenlight Re in July 2025 as Innovations Underwriter and Analytics Lead. Prior to Greenlight Re, Wang was with Ledger Investing, Peak Re, Greenlight Re, Verisk and AIG, working in the ILS market and (Re)insurance market across various regions. Wang is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He received his MS in Actuarial Science from George State University in the US and bachelor’s degree in Insurance from Southwestern University Of Finance and Economics in China.
